Design/Merchandising Intern
The Design/Merchandising Intern will work closely with the Product team, supporting both the creative and execution sides of how HUFT's products come to life — from personalised artwork to product development and merchandising follow-through.
About the Role
This role sits at the intersection of design and merchandising, and is ideal for someone who enjoys both the creative process and the operational rigour of getting products market-ready — while working under the guidance of our Merchandising lead.
As a Design/Merchandising Intern, you'll get to see a product's full journey — from an early sketch or personalised design brief, through sourcing and sampling, to a finished product on the shelf.
Personalisation & Artwork
- Support the creation of artworks for personalised orders.
Product Development & Merchandising
- Assist in product development across categories under the Merchandising lead's guidance.
- Coordinate sampling, follow-ups, and tracking.
- Work closely with merchandising teams on execution.
Market & Trend Research
- Help with market and competitor research for trends, materials, and pricing.
Who This Is For
- Final year student or recent graduate in Fashion, Textile, Product Design, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of product design and merchandising.
- Basic understanding of Excel.
- Working knowledge of design tools like Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Good communication and follow-up skills.
Bonus Points If You Have
- Interest in pet products and lifestyle categories.
- Prior internship experience.
- Comfortable around pets.
